The basic Paper.li account is free but users can “go Pro” for $9 a month.
Content Gems: This free service monitors over 200,000 news sites, blogs, and social media accounts, such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, and many more. Subscribers have suggestions for articles to read (based on their interests) delivered right to their inbox.

Rebel Mouse is free but there is a paid version with more options available as well.
