Twitter is calling your name. No really, it is. It’s saying, “Come read my tweets! Stop by and connect and engage with all your fabulous followers!”
If you are one of the many who feel the siren song of Twitter tug at them throughout the day, just know you are not alone. So why spend time reading, retweeting and replying to the tweets of your connections? It’s not because you are looking for a new way to waste time or discover more shiny objects to follow. People use Twitter because it is an effective way to stay connected with those in their industry, thought-leaders, colleagues, etc.; and most importantly, people who may be their ideal clients.
This is why business pros should consider creating Twitter lists. A Twitter list is a manually-curated list that acts as a compilation of the people most relevant to your business direction and/or marketing goals. Once created, users can view their list(s) and see only the tweets of the people on that list. Users can have multiple lists based on groups, attributes or whatever else works for them; which not only makes replying, favoriting and retweeting via desktop or mobile device a snap, but also keeps them connected with the followers that matter most.Create Twitter lists to make it easy to follow specific groups of followers.Click To Tweet
Twitter Lists are free to create, and though they may take a little extra time to pull together on the front end, they will save business owners time by allowing them to see only the most relevant people and information in one handy spot.
Another great thing about Twitter lists is that you can create one or more of them – adding people you want to follow for specific reasons and others can add you to their own lists. Whenever someone adds you to a list, you’ll get a notification that you’ve been added. If for some reason you are added to a list you would prefer not to be … you can always remove yourself.
In today’s busy, busy, hurry up and do it world, Twitter lists give us just a little more edge to getting things done.
