I’m just a tiny bit jazzed. Social sharing is a wonderful way to get your content out in front of your target audience. Which is why I am a big proponent of having social sharing buttons on your website.
Personally, my social sharing plugin of choice is Social Warfare. I really love the Social Warfare sharing buttons I have on my WordPress blog – for a variety of reasons. However, Dustin Stout, one of the co-founders of Warfare plugins, made me giggle with glee at a possibility I hadn’t thought of.
Dustin shared a very simple way for others to share your landing pages … get this, from the thank you page you direct them to once they hit submit! Not sharing the thank you page of course. That wouldn’t be smart. But instead, sharing the landing page where they opted in or purchased!
Using a short code no less! It’s simple. All you have to do is add the following short code to the top and bottom of your thank you page.
Social sharing buttons make it easy to share your content!Click To Tweet
The “xxxxx” after post_id represents the post or page id number for your landing page, and you simply list the social sharing buttons you would like to have on the page. When someone uses one of the buttons, the page that is actually shared is the one with the post or page id you included!
Hang on though … I’ve given you the gist of it; but instead of me trying to explain it all to you (and failing miserably), why don’t you read it for yourself here on Dustin’s blog. There is also a lot of other great information in the article too, so I think you’ll really get a lot out of it!
Just one more way to direct people to your landing page via social sharing buttons – ANY landing page, but it’s the little things that float my boat 😉
