Email marketing has become a vastly popular and beneficial direct marketing tool. It is primarily used to provide information to subscribers about services and product offerings. But, it can also be useful in building a loyal customer base. Today, more and more business owners are turning to email as their primary way to generate sales leads. The reason is that not only can the results be easily tracked, but also because it is an inexpensive way to market services on a large scale. Because of the minimal costs involved, business owners have a greater chance to generate a profitable return on investment.
I recently read an article from HubSpot about how “creating, optimizing, and promoting content are keys to filling the top of your sales and marketing funnel with more website traffic and leads.”
In a nutshell, you need to be always producing stellar content and looking for creative ways to entice people to Like, Share, and Tweet your content. The same article shared that companies who find ways to optimize and promote their blogs get 55% more traffic and 70% more leads than those who don’t. Blog posts that were shared on just Twitter had 113% more inbound links than those not shared on social media at all.
Sound daunting? Here’s your new secret weapon. Click to Tweet is a way to create “tweetables” right within the body of your blog post or article. Here’s how it works;
- Write the message you want to share in the box.
- Click the “Generate” button to create a custom link.
- Use the generated link to turn a quote or a piece of quotable information branded to you into a Tweet.
- Add this information to your post blog with the call-to-action “Click to Tweet” and PRESTO, and simple and innovative way to encourage sharing from your blog or website.
- Whoever clicks on the link will have the message automatically added to their Twitter status box. Easey Peasey!

LinkedIn is such a great platform and wonderful tool for business, but it sometimes gets drowned out in the roar of the Twitter and Facebook frenzy. Industry experts in the past have likened LinkedIn to the “company water cooler” as a source for information, connection, and yes…even clients and joint ventures and jobs. That being said, the #1 way to have your LinkedIn account not performing the way it should for you is not having a complete profile. Hubspot has even gone as far as to say that, having a complete profile (one that is at 100%), will provide you with a 40% greater chance for networking success. Now granted, mine is only at 95%, but that’s only because LinkedIn wants me to upload my resume to complete the profile … and that I won’t do because I’m not looking for a job. You can find out more about me by visiting my website than you ever could by looking at my resume.
Not sure where to begin? H ere are some tips that are quick and easy to implement, and will optimize your LinkedIn profile to its full potential: [Read more…]

For better or worse, every business out there has a brand.
I say for better or worse because you may not like what your brand is. Your brand could be confused. It could be nonexistent. It could be conflicting.
As I said before, brands are more than a logo. Your brand is the core identity of your business.
And if you don’t know what your core identity is, or you never took the time to map it out, then you more likely than not have a confused, conflicting or nonexistent brand.
So why is this a problem? Well, because without a strong brand, you’re going to struggle needlessly trying to grow your business.
