When creating updates and posts for your Facebook page where you are referring to specific people, try tagging them in the post so they not only receive a notification that they are tagged, but pushes the post to their feed which can maximize engagement in your comments. Use the [email protected] in front of names or mouse over faces to add names. When using this little trick, just make sure you don’t randomly tag anyone, and only tag someone specifically mentioned for a purpose because they are either in the picture, or mentioning them adds value or benefit to the post. Otherwise … that’s considered spamming!
Instagram will allow a maximum of 30 tags per post. While you might not want to use 30 all at once, it’s very handy to use Evernote to keep track of the groups of hashtags you use for certain types of posts. For instance, I only use 3 hashtags for my motivational posts because they also post to Facebook. For other posts, however, I might use between 15 and 20. By keeping track of them in Evernote, it makes it super easy to copy/paste instead of adding them one by one; as well as helps you be consistent when using them. Seasoned Instagram users have, by nature, found by staying true to their brand and niche as opposed to “mixing it up,” their Instagram follower’s response is greater.Use the bulk editing tools on Pinterest to clean up your boards and keep content fresh.Click To Tweet
Utilize the bulk editing tools on Pinterest to clean up your boards and keep content fresh. Perhaps you have boards that are dedicated to giveaways or products that are no longer valid. First locate the board with the pins you’d like to move, copy, or delete. Next, click the “Move Pins” button in the top right corner. Then, choose the pins you’d like to move, copy, or delete by clicking on the check mark in the pin’s top right corner. Once you’ve made your selection, choose “Move,” “Copy,” or “Delete” from the top right corner of the board. Offering only the most current info to your followers is the ticket to staying top-of-mind.
I’m sure there are many more ninja tricks you might use to increase engagement. I’d love for you to share them here in a comment for the rest of us!
